As a supplier of industrial services, the company AER or “ATOMENERGOREMONT” AD stated that it is aware of the potential impact on nature and that it is strongly committed to protecting the environment in every possible way, Renewable.News reports.
“In fact, when it comes to the environment we believe that success only comes when there is zero impact on nature and humanity,” a statement from the company says.
To realize these priorities, the management of AER has developed, implemented, and maintained an environmental management system that complies with the international standard ISO 14001 : 2004, according to Renewable.News.
The company has also developed a number of measures and a plan with activities in terms of environmental protection, including the use of selected materials, reducing waste at all times, and practicing efficient energy management.
The company’s main priorities are as follows:
- Continuous improvement and prevention of pollution by adopting general and specific goals and programs;
- Control over the use of natural resources necessary for the company’s production activities;
- Management of assessed environmental aspects related to air, water, soil, personnel, and society;
- Maintaining compliance with environmental protection regulations related to activities, processes, and products of the organization and their aspects;
- Provision of the necessary resources for the implementation of the environmental protection policy;
- Ensuring the understanding, implementation, and maintenance of the environmental policy at all levels in the company.
Additionally, when it comes to efficiency, AER also is headed toward a more energy-efficient future. The company concluded a grant agreement with the Ministry of Economy for the implementation of a project: “Introduction of energy-saving technologies in the industrial system of “Atomenergoremont” AD”.
The total value of the investment planned under the project is BGN 4,999,065.00. BGN 2,499,532.50 is the amount of the grant (of which BGN 2,124,602.63 European and BGN 374,929.87 national co-financing) while the rest amount of BGN 2,499,532.50 stems from own co-financing.
